Kyler Kerbox

Chief Pilot / CFI

Hometown: Kula, HI

Kyler started and completed most of his flight training right here at Fly Maui and now works full time as a Certified Flight Instructor. Growing up on Maui, he’s always loved being outdoors — whether it’s flying, surfing, or spending time in the ocean.

He enjoys sharing that same excitement for flying with his students and showing them that you can complete all your flight training right here in the islands. Every day brings something new, and that’s what he loves most about it. When he’s not in the air, you’ll probably find him out surfing or hanging around the airport talking story with other pilots.

Brian Sandoval

Chief Pilot / CFII

Hometown: Lahaina, HI

Born and raised on Maui, Brian has been flying since 2020 and completed his flight training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. As Fly Maui’s Chief Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, he’s passionate about teaching the next generation of aviators and helping local pilots reach their dreams of flying for the airlines.

When he’s not flying, Brian enjoys coaching football at Lahainaluna High School, leading youth with Young Life, and spending time by the ocean surfing, cliff jumping, or just cruising at the beach.

Kyle Fushikoshi-Wago

CFI

Hometown: Pukalani, HI

Kyle studied aeronautics at The University of North Dakota. He completed the majority of his flight training in Phoenix, Arizona. Kyle says “The best thing about flight instructing is meeting new people and helping them reach their goals.”

When he’s out of the cockpit you can probably find him golfing or fishing.
