Flying before you can drive

Flying has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and training at Fly Maui has been an incredible journey. At 15 years old, with over 100 flight hours, I’m fully prepared to fly solo—I’m just counting down the days until my 16th birthday when I can finally take off on my own!

The instructors at Fly Maui have given me the skills and confidence I need to reach this milestone. Their support and mentorship have helped me grow as a pilot, making every lesson both exciting and rewarding. I’ve worked hard to meet all the requirements, and now, I’m just waiting for the day I can officially take that first solo flight.

After my solo, my next goal is to earn my private pilot’s license as soon as possible, then continue training all the way to my commercial certificate. Balancing school and flight training has been challenging, but every flight reminds me why this is my dream.

I’m beyond grateful for everything I’ve learned at Fly Maui, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead. The sky is just the beginning!
